As we prepare for the Chichester Personal Bests, we have put together some Welcome Packs for our Coaches, Volunteers, Day Services and Family Carers. If you have any questions at all before the event, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to seeing you all for what promises to be another fantastic day.
We hope these packs give you a good feel for what to expect on the day and what you can do to prepare.
PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO READ YOUR WELCOME PACK THROUGH (click the link below).
We look forward to seeing lots of our volunteers at the volunteer briefing on Monday20th July (6:00-7:00pm) on Teams - link is in the Welcome Pack and it will be emailed to you - please check your junk folders in case it lands there!
IMPORTANT - CAR PARKING
Parking at the University of Chichester is free for people coming to the Personal Bests, provided you enter your vehicle registration number at the Sports Centre reception as soon as you arrive. Unfortunately, the University is unable to make exceptions, so please don't forget to do this to avoid receiving a parking charge.
🌞 Hot weather
We're keeping a close eye on the weather forecast and hope temperatures will be a little cooler by event day. The safety and wellbeing of everyone attending is our top priority. Please note that if an amber or red heat health warning is in place, we may need to cancel the event. Full details can be found in our cancellation policy on the final page of the Welcome Pack.
Risk assessments
We recommend that all day services complete a risk assessment for the people they are supporting.
🐝 Insect bites and stings
As the event includes outdoor activities, we'd recommend bringing insect repellent and, where appropriate, antihistamines for anyone who is sensitive to insect bites or stings. It's something we learned from experience last year! 🐝
