Good news is that for every magazine we deliver Active LD gets paid.
As a thank you to our delivery crew we spend our earnings on a drink (or ice cream) and a catch up after our delivery rounds.
Our Active LD delivery crew has once again done a fantastic job delivering Winchester Magazine.
In November, our team delivered 1,400 magazines across Bereweeke and Fulflood - all within just one week. An amazing group of 13 adults with learning disabilities, supported by 8 volunteers, took part.
Together, we clocked up an incredible 196,000 steps - that’s 105 km of walking!
Delivering Winchester Magazine is a brilliant way to stay active, discover new corners of our city, and enjoy plenty of fresh air. With lots of letterboxes, lots of steps, and lots of smiles, it’s always a highlight for our crew. We love meeting local residents and taking pride in doing a job we’re truly good at.
We deliver three times a year (Spring, Summer and Autumn) - and we’d love to welcome more people to the team!
